Aondoakaa condemns killing of igede youths, calls for probe

Former Attorney General of the Federation and minister of Justice, Chief Micheal Aondoakaa, SAN has joined million of Benue people to strongly condemn the killing of two Igede youths along Awajir-Oju road.

Chief Kaase Aondoakaa condemned the murder in a press statement he signed and .Ade available to journalists this afternoon.

The two Igede youths according to the security reports were traveling from Oju on their motorcycle when they were attacked and killed in cold blood.

In his statement, Chief Micheal Aondoakaa described the incident as an unfortunate situation, saying nobody or group has the right to take laws into their own hands or invade another community for whatever reason and advised the people to always embrace Dialogue as the best way of resolving issues.

He called on the security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators of the heinous crimes are arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law to serve as deterrent to others saying enough is enough of the bloodshed in Benue state which is known for peace and order.

The chairman Board of Directors MIKAP Nigeria limited producers of MIVA Rice expressed regrets that at time Benue state is beginning to experience a level of peace and stability there was no point for any group of people to instigate crisis that would further threaten the peace that is being witness across the state.

Chief Aondoakaa also called on Government at all levels to put in place more security measures that would help prevent the repeat of the incident or reprisal attacks that would escalate in crisis and urges the security agencies to live up to the responsibility of protecting lives and property of all citizens .

The former Justice Minister called on all Igede people across the state to remain peaceful and law-abiding and allow security agencies to fish out the perpetrators crime.

Lastly, Chief Aondoakaa Condoled with the families of the two youths who were murdered.and equally pray to God to grant the souls of the two young men eternal rest.
