Ado Youths Congress, one of the umbrella bodies of the youths in Ado local government area of Benue State has mocked the deputy speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mrs Lami Danladi over her phony statement on the World International Youth Day which was celebrated today.

In her International Youth Day message which was signed by her media aide, ‎Ogali Edwin Ogali, the deputy speaker described Nigerian youths as a driving force of the nation’s present and the architects of its future.

But reacting to the message, the Ado Youths Congress in a press statement through its Spokesperson, Comrade James Agada described the message from Mrs Lami Danladi as phony, saying that she should mention a tangible thing she had done for the youths in her Constituency.

The statement reads in parts: “For someone as exalted as the deputy speaker in the government to be describing Nigerian youths as a driving force, she should be able to account for the empowerment which she had done for the ones (Youths) in her local government.

*The only empowerment which the deputy speaker had done so far is recruitment of innocent youths into a Militia that she is now using to fight her suspected political enemies”

Ado Youths Congress accused Lami Danladi of always shutting her doors on all the youths in her Constituency who had gone to her for one assistance or the other. “This is the same hypocrite that is now praising Nigerian youths , calling them the leaders of tomorrow. How many youths has she built or empowered to be able to become leaders of tomorrow” the group added.

“The deputy speaker doesn’t have the capacity to celebrate youths on their international day because she has never had any positive impacts on the life of any youth here in Ado, and we will take this message far and wide so that all the youths in Benue will know that she is not a good representative “.
