Senate Minority Leader and senator representing Benue South at the Red Chambers, Comrade Abba Moro has come under intense heat for accusing Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State of deliberately abandoning the Idoma axis of the State.
Abba Moro during the last weekend while addressing a gathering in Otukpo stated that the governor had failed the people of Idoma, stressing that he doesn’t deserve their votes in 2027.
But reacting to the comments credited to Abba Moro, Benue for Good Governance, an advocacy group saddled with the responsibility of ensuring good governance across Benue state said that the comment was a figment of the Senator’s imagination.
The advocacy group in a press statement obtained this morning from its Director of Press, Mr. Clement Agada, said that there is no iota of truth in the senator’s claim.
The group added that Governor Hyacinth Alia just like his three predecessors has performed creditably well in Idoma land and the entire Benue South.
The group pointed at the reticulations which are going on in several parts of Idoma and the entire Benue South.
The group also pointed at some rural electrifications as well as infrastructural projects which the state government has done in Idoma and the entire Benue South.
The group said that the senator is just playing politics with the emotions of the people of the area just to paint the present administration with a black ink.
However, Benue for Good Governance challenged Senator Abba Moro to publish his scorecards since he became senator in 2019 till now.
“Can Senator Abba Moro justify the little projects he has done for over six years with the several billions of Naira he had taken for Constituency projects.
“We are retiring him in 2027 and he will be replaced with a viable person to represent the zone at the National Assembly in the next election” the group stressed.
