The 2027 Benue All Progressive Congress House of Representatives candidate for Jechira, Chief Livinus Tsar, PhD, said that his decision to come out and develop his community was inspired by what he witnessed in other places outside his home.
According to him, those who have reused to develop their communities lack exposure and mean no good for their people.
Tsar pressed further that he cannot sit back and watch how own community lag behind, having seen how other people are developing their communities,
While advising others to return to their communities and assist in the areas of development, the charity worker stressed that development is not a one-man business.
Dr. Tsar called on sons and daughters of the community, both at home and in the diaspora, to come together and contribute their quota to the growth and transformation of their homeland.
Meanwhile, Dr. Livinus Adzer Tsar has reiterated his commitment to grassroots development, stressing that his vision of giving back to society is centred on transforming rural communities and bringing development closer to the people, just as it is practised in other developed societies.
He noted that the responsibility for community development should not be left entirely in the hands of government, emphasising that individuals who have the capacity and resources should also contribute meaningfully to improving the lives of people in their communities.
Dr. Tsar further clarified that all the projects and interventions he has undertaken are driven by his passion for community development and not by his political ambitions. According to him, genuine development should be motivated by the desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives, rather than personal political interests.
His position reinforces the belief that meaningful development is a collective responsibility requiring the commitment of government, individuals and other well-meaning members of society.
