The African Democratic Congress 2027 House of Assembly Candidate for Akure South Constituency One, Ambassador Aare Abiodun Oluwarotimi has assured the people of his Constituency that he will not fail them if trusted with their mandates in the February, 2027 House of Assembly election.

The leading House of Assembly Candidate made this promise while speaking on Crest FM’s Oro Oselu anchored by Abolaji Alafe, stressing that his tenure as a State lawmaker would be different from those that had come to deceive the people of the Constituency in the past.

Reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the people of the constituency, Aare Abiodun declared unequivocally that he will not fail them if given the mandate to serve.

Speaking further, Aare Abiodun presented a clear picture of the kind of representation he intends to provide—responsible, accountable, experienced and firmly centred on the needs of the people.

One of the strongest assurances from the candidate was his commitment to making the best possible use of the Constituency allowance for the benefit of the people. He emphasised that public resources must be deployed responsibly and transparently for the advancement of the constituency rather than treated as personal entitlements.

Beyond his policy agenda, Aare Abiodun Oluwarotmi made a clear pledge to build a good relationship with the Executive, noting that such relationship would help him to get what rightfully belongs to his Constituents for them from the State Government.

According to him, he would not be a rubber stamp lawmaker but he would use his experience to always make the Governor listen to him whenever he tables the genuine needs of the people of Akure South Constituency One before him.

Saying that his representation would not be limited to members of the ADC alone,  Aare Oluwarotmi declared that he would serve every resident of the constituency equally, regardless of political affiliation—whether APC, PDP, or any other party. “I will treat everyone as one,” he affirmed, emphasising that his duty would be to the entire people of Akure South Constituency One.

When asked whether he was confident of victory in the race for the House of Assembly seat in Akure South Constituency 1, and whether he would later decamp from the ADC to the APC after winning, Aare Oluwarotmi gave a firm response that nothing would make him decamp from the ADC, stressing that he would never be a failure to his people after winning the election in 2027.

ACCOUNTABILITY WILL BE NON-NEGOTIABLE: Aare Abiodun made a firm commitment to accountability, assuring the people that they would not be left in the dark about how their mandate and public resources are being utilised.

For him, representation is not merely about occupying a political office; it is about giving an account of stewardship, remaining accessible to the people and ensuring that the people’s interests remain paramount.

EXPERIENCE THAT MUST TRANSLATE INTO PERFORMANCE

With his wealth of experience and understanding of the political and developmental challenges confronting the constituency, Aare Abiodun expressed confidence in his ability to provide effective representation.

But beyond experience, he understands that performance is what ultimately earns the trust of the people.

His commitment to seeking up to three terms in office makes his promise of excellent performance during his first term particularly significant. He knows that the best campaign for a second and third term is a successful first term that the people can see, feel and testify to.

A CLEAR AGENDA FOR AKURE SOUTH CONSTITUENCY I

Aare Abiodun identified key areas that will receive priority attention under his representation:

🚦 TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT:
Working towards practical interventions and advocacy around the traffic challenges affecting residents, commuters and businesses within the constituency.

🌾 AGRICULTURE:
Promoting agricultural opportunities, supporting productive engagement and exploring initiatives capable of improving livelihoods and economic participation.

🛡️ SECURITY:
Giving serious attention to the security of lives and property and supporting initiatives that can contribute to safer communities.

📚 EDUCATION:
Championing educational development and opportunities for students and young people, recognising education as a fundamental investment in the future of the constituency.

💪 EMPOWERMENT:
Creating opportunities that can help youths, women and other residents become economically productive and less dependent on others.

These priorities reflect an approach to representation that seeks to address real problems, create opportunities and improve the quality of life of ordinary citizens.

A MANDATE IS A TRUST — NOT A PERSONAL POSSESSION

The message from Aare Abiodun was clear: the mandate belongs to the people.

While asking the people of Akure South Constituency One to entrust him with the responsibility of representing them in 2027, the candidate pledged to justify that confidence through performance, accountability, accessibility and tangible results.

According to him, his declaration that he will not fail the people is not merely a campaign slogan. He said t is a commitment that places a heavy responsibility on his shoulders.

And with a three-term ambition, the challenge is even greater: he must make his first term so impactful that the people themselves will demand his continuation.

The ADC candidate therefore called on the people of Akure South Constituency I to look beyond political rhetoric and consider the candidate’s experience, agenda, commitment and willingness to be held accountable.

His words: This is about choosing a representative that understands the responsibility of office. This is about choosing a representative who intends to work, account for the people’s resources and deliver. This is about giving Akure South Constituency One a voice that will not merely occupy a seat, but will fight for the people”
