HAPPY 66TH INDEPENDENCE DAY, NIGERIA

On behalf of the State Executive Committee, party stakeholders, and the entire membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, I extend my heartfelt felicitations to His Excellency, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR; His Excellency, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia; government officials, party leaders; and, most importantly, the good people of Nigeria, on the occasion of our nation’s 66th Independence Anniversary.

Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary is a time for reflection and thanksgiving as we look back on our journey as a nation. It is also an opportunity to renew our commitment to the ideals, values, courage, and sacrifices that have shaped our country. As we celebrate, we must reaffirm our shared responsibility to strengthen national unity, promote peace, and contribute to the continued development of our great nation.

At 66, our journey as a nation has been marked by significant achievements, discoveries, opportunities, and challenges. Through it all, the resilience, creativity, determination, and faith of the Nigerian people have remained a strong source of hope and inspiration.

I commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his leadership and for the steps being taken by the Federal Government to strengthen our economy, promote national stability, and create an environment that supports growth and development.

In the same spirit, I commend the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for his purposeful and focused leadership. The Alia-led administration’s efforts in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, security, workers’ welfare, and other key areas demonstrate a clear commitment to improving the lives of our people and building a stronger future for Benue State.

The progress of any society is ultimately measured by how well government policies and programmes improve the lives of its people. We therefore acknowledge the efforts being made at both the federal and state levels to address the challenges facing our people and respond to their needs and aspirations.

As we mark this important national occasion, I call on all Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation, ethnicity, religion, or social status, to renew our faith in the Nigerian project. Let us embrace the values of unity, patriotism, tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and responsible citizenship.

For us in the All Progressives Congress in Benue State, our commitment remains firmly rooted in democratic governance, responsible leadership, development, and the protection of the future and welfare of our people.

I also salute the men and women of our Armed Forces, security agencies, public servants, and all patriotic Nigerians whose sacrifices, dedication, and service continue to contribute to the peace, security, unity, and development of our nation.

As we celebrate this anniversary, let it be more than a remembrance of our past. Let it be an opportunity to renew our commitment to building a Nigeria where justice, peace, opportunity, prosperity, and good governance can flourish for present and future generations.

Once again, I wish all Nigerians a peaceful, joyful, and memorable 66th Independence Anniversary.

Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria!
