The chairman of the Benue State chapter of All Progressive Congress, Chief Benjamin Omale has commended the Governor of the State, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia over his “outstanding” performance.
Omale who made this commendation in a press statement this morning stated that the good governance of the governor will always defeat propaganda.
In his statement, the Benue APC chairman also lauded the governor for his total supports to the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
The statement reads in parts: “The All Progressives Congress (APC), Benue State Chapter, proudly commends the purposeful, visionary, and people-oriented leadership of His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, whose administration continues to redefine the standards of good governance through deliberate policies and legacy projects that have strengthened public trust, confidence, and the overwhelming support of the people of Benue State.
“The remarkable progress recorded in Benue State under Governor Hyacinth Alia aligns perfectly with the courageous socio-economic and political reforms being implemented by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, whose Renewed Hope Agenda is driven by patriotism and a firm commitment to sustainable economic growth, national development, self-reliance, and shared prosperity”
Furthermore, Omale stated that since assuming office, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has embarked on bold and far-reaching reforms aimed at laying a solid foundation for Nigeria’s future, noting that these include the removal of the long-standing fuel subsidy and deregulation of the petroleum sector, decentralization of the electricity sector, the establishment of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to provide interest-free loans to students, comprehensive tax reforms to strengthen non-oil revenue generation, financial autonomy for Local Governments, and the creation of regional development commissions to promote balanced development across the country.
He continued that these courageous reforms have created an enabling environment for progressive APC-led states, including Benue, to implement impactful policies that directly improve the lives of citizens.
“Under Governor Alia’s leadership, Benue State has witnessed a new era of responsible governance driven by transparency, accountability, fiscal discipline, and measurable development. The administration has undertaken the construction and rehabilitation of strategic urban and rural roads, completed modern underpasses, rehabilitated the Otobi/Otukpo and Katsina-Ala Water Works, revitalised public infrastructure, invested significantly in education and healthcare, ensured prompt payment of salaries and pensions, strengthened agriculture and food security programmes, expanded youth and women empowerment initiatives, and promoted strategic investments and partnerships aimed at addressing insecurity and supporting internally displaced persons” he added..
According to him, the successful hosting of the Benue State International Investment and Economic Summit, alongside sustained efforts to improve security and expand economic opportunities, further demonstrates the administration’s commitment to building a peaceful, prosperous, and investment-friendly state.
He added that the achievements of Governor Hyacinth Alia are visible, measurable, and undeniable. They stand as compelling evidence that purposeful leadership and good governance will always prevail over propaganda, misinformation, and political distractions.
His words: “The APC wishes to state unequivocally that it will not be distracted by baseless allegations, sponsored propaganda, or desperate attempts by failed politicians to distort the facts. Those who once enjoyed the trust of the people but failed to utilise the opportunities entrusted to them cannot rewrite history through campaigns of misinformation.
“Governance is about performance, not propaganda. It is about service, not sensationalism. It is about delivering results, not promoting false narratives.
“As the Benue State Chairman of the APC, I call on all party members to remain united and committed to the collective interest of our great party. Unity remains the bedrock of every successful political organisation and is indispensable to building a formidable structure capable of sustaining electoral victories and effective governance.
“Every member must place the interest of the party above personal ambition or factional considerations. Those who sponsor, encourage, or promote internal crises weaken our collective strength and create opportunities for an opposition that has already lost the confidence of the people to seek political relevance”
Chief Omale continued that the APC has always derived its strength from discipline, loyalty, internal cohesion, adding that its shared commitment to the progress of Benue State and Nigeria. “We must therefore close ranks, protect the unity of our party, and continue to support the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia in delivering the dividends of democracy under the Renewed Hope Agenda” he added.
He said: “We call on the good people of Benue State to remain steadfast in their support for Governor Alia’s administration as it consolidates on its achievements. Leadership at every level is challenging because it involves balancing diverse interests and making decisions for the greater good. We therefore urge our party faithful and citizens not to be hasty in judging a journey that is still unfolding, for the true measure of leadership is often seen at its final destination.
