In a strong demonstration of unity and political commitment, youths from the Aliede Road axis of Ugondo, in collaboration with community elders, have publicly declared their unwavering support for the governorship candidate of People’s Democratic Party PDP, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN ahead of the 2027 Benue State governorship election.
The gathering was marked by enthusiasm and a shared resolve as the youths pledged their loyalty to Chief Aondoakaa, assuring that they would stand firmly with him throughout his political journey until victory is achieved at the polls.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the youth leader, Hon. Tersoo Shie, stated that he has been a committed member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and described the emergence of Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa as a divine opportunity for Benue State.
He noted that Aondoakaa’s leadership qualities, wealth of experience, and commitment to the development of the state have inspired confidence among the youth.
Hon. Shie further disclosed that he would mobilize young people across Makurdi and beyond to embrace the PDP and work collectively towards ensuring the victory of Chief Aondoakaa in the 2027 governorship election.
Other speakers at the event emphasized that their support would go beyond words. According to them, there was no need for lengthy speeches, as they believe in practical action.
They assured everyone present that their commitment and grassroots mobilization efforts would speak for themselves as the election approaches.
Responding on behalf of the PDP candidate, Mr. Bolingo T. Leva warmly welcomed the youths into the movement and commended them for their confidence and commitment to the project. He assured them that their dedication and contributions would be duly recognized and appreciated.
Bolingo further conveyed Chief Aondoakaa’s appreciation for the show of solidarity and reiterated his commitment to an inclusive leadership style that gives every supporter and stakeholder a sense of belonging. He encouraged the youths to remain peaceful, united, and focused as they continue to mobilize support across their communities.
The event ended with renewed optimism and a collective pledge by the youths and elders to sustain their grassroots campaign efforts in support of Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa’s vision for a greater Benue.
