The APC flag bearer for the Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections and lead pointman in Konshisha Local Government Area, Dr. Livinus Adzer Tsar, has commended the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, following the successful commissioning of ten strategic intra-city roads in Makurdi by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON.
Dr Tsar, who welcomed the First Lady to the state, described the event as a historic moment for Benue and a clear demonstration of the growing confidence of the Federal Government in the leadership of Governor Alia.
According to him, the visit of the First Lady and her participation in the commissioning ceremony underscore the remarkable progress being recorded in Benue State under the current administration.
“Having the First Lady of Nigeria commission projects in Benue State is a strong endorsement of the developmental strides of Governor Hyacinth Alia. It reflects the governor’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure and connecting Benue State to the centre,” Tsar stated.
The roads commissioned include Ishaya Bakut Road (Dual Carriageway), three spur roads off Ishaya Bakut Road, Abu King Shuluwa Road, Mama Mbateren Alia Street, Dabo Plaza to Fashion Hub Road, Sir James Iorpuu Street, Tyagher Gbaa Street and Jato-Aka Road.
The projects, spanning approximately 11.5 kilometres, are expected to improve transportation, enhance economic activities and contribute to the ongoing urban renewal efforts within Makurdi metropolis.
As part of her visit to Benue State under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), Senator Oluremi Tinubu also commissioned and handed over a Community ICT Centre in Ihugh, Vandeikya Local Government Area. The centre is expected to provide digital learning opportunities and technological empowerment for youths, Women and members of the community.
Dr. Tsar praised both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady for their continued support for Benue State, while reaffirming his support for the developmental agenda of Governor Alia.
He noted that the successful commissioning of the roads and ICT centre further demonstrates the administration’s commitment to infrastructural development, youth empowerment and improved service delivery across the state.
