Frontline governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State and the party’s consensus candidate, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN, paid a thank you visit to the Leader of the PDP in Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Dist.Sen. Patrick Abba Moro, at his residence in Otukpo, to appreciate him and Party members across the Zone for their overwhelming support which resulted in his emergence as the PDP consensus gubernatorial candidate for the forthcoming general elections.
During the visit, Sen. Moro congratulated Aondoakaa on his emergence and commended the maturity and unity demonstrated by stakeholders of the Party throughout the process. He encouraged the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice to remain focused and committed to the collective goal of reclaiming and repositioning Benue State.
The Senate Minority Leader further assured Aondoakaa of his unwavering support and pledged to work with other party leaders to ensure victory for the PDP at the polls.
On his return to Makurdi, the PDP consensus candidate also paid visits to his former co-aspirants in a move aimed at strengthening unity and consolidating support within the party. Aondoakaa appreciated them for their spirit of sportsmanship, sacrifice, and commitment to the peace and progress of the PDP, stressing that the ultimate objective remains the victory of the party in the forthcoming elections.
In their separate responses, Rev. Dr. Tor Ujah, Chief Sebastian Hon, SAN, Prof. Dennis Ityavyar, and Engr. Ato commended Aondoakaa for demonstrating exemplary leadership and humility by reaching out to them after the consensus process. They expressed appreciation for the gesture and assured him of their support and cooperation towards ensuring the success of the PDP in the state.
