The Member representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum Logo Federal Constituency, Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo yesterday 20th June 2025 briefed Sankera Constituents on his legislative duties in two years.
In the build up of the event, the Prince of Peace distributed 2000 bags of fertilizer and awarded scholarship to 400 hundred undergraduate students of his Constituency.
The Lawmaker stated that at the end of his 4 year’s tenure, Sankera will experience significant and exponential development. He listed some of his achievements in two years to include;
1. Donation of tricycles to Sankera Women Cooperative Societies/ Associations, enhancing their economic mobility and livelihood.
2. Training and empowerment of 200 Sankera youths and women on various skills and crafts, equipping them for sustainable livelihoods.
3. Trained and empowered 300 Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) on Poultry and fish farming in Katsina/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth.
4. Facilitation of recruitment and employment of 13 constituents into esteemed organizations including the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Drugs and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Federal and State Civil Service
5. Sponsored a Bill for an act to establish Federal College of Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition, Zaki-Biam, Ukum LGA
6. Completion of the first phase of the Gbor-Adikpo-Alam-Kera Road construction project in Katsina-Ala, enhancing transportation and connectivity.
7. Construction of the Lukul Bridge in Tiir Council Ward, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, improving access and facilitating economic activity.
8.Distribution and installation of solar street lights across Sankera villages, promoting sustainable energy and enhancing community safety.
9. Completion and commissioning of the Constituency Office in Katsina-Ala, providing a hub for constituents services and community engagement.
10. Completion of an ICT hub at Tongov Community Secondary School, Amaafu, bridging the digital divide and fostering innovation.
11. Completion of 12 numbered Solar Powered Boreholes across Sankera including; Melabu in Mbayenge , Tine-Nune in Mbatian, Atogbenda in Mbazun and Chito in Azendeshi all in Ukum,Mbaton Market in Tiir, Abaji-Kpav in Michihe, Ijoo-Mbatyough in Ikurav-Tiev ll, St. Paul’s Catholic Church Mbakyer in Mbajir in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, Gonduzua in Mbadyul, Ayilamo in Tombo and Tse-Igbur in Ukemberegya/Tswarev all in Logo Local Government Area, providing clean water and improving public health.
12. Fully equipped Primary Health Care Centre (PHC) with medical equipment, motorized borehole, motorcycle, and generator at Melabu community, enhancing healthcare delivery.
13. Supplied medical equipment, motorcycles, and generators to Primary Healthcare Centres in Ayua Ikyurav-TievI, improving healthcare services.
14. Renovated and equipped Comprehensive Health Center Gbor Tiir, Katsina-Ala LGA, upgrading healthcare infrastructure.
15. Provision of Solar mini grid Systems to Primary Healthcare Centers in Afia, Tsaav in Ukum Local Government Area, promoting sustainable energy and healthcare delivery.
16. Provision of Solar mini grid Systems to Primary Healthcare Center in Agu Center, Mbatyula /Mberev promoting sustainable energy and healthcare delivery.
17. Provision of Solar mini grid Systems to Primary Healthcare Center Ikyor, Nenzev in Logo Local Government Area, promoting sustainable energy and healthcare delivery.
18. Distribution of fertilizer and farm inputs to farmers in the 2024 cropping season, enhancing agricultural productivity.
19.Construction and commissioning of a Six-classroom block at NKST Primary School, Pevikyaa, Mbayenge, enhancing educational facilities.
20. Award of scholarships to 310 undergraduate students in the first phase (2024), promoting education and human capital development.
21. Sponsorship of a Bill to amend the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria Act, establishing an agricultural mechanized center in Ugba, Logo Local Government Area.
22. Sponsorship of a Bill for the upgrade of College of Education Katsina-Ala to Federal University of Education, enhancing educational opportunities.
23. Sponsorship of a motion to initiate moves to resolve insecurity in Sankera Axis, including the revival of the Mobile Police Unit and construction of a Forward Operational Base (FOB).
24. Construction of aclassroom block at NKST Primary School Abaji-Kpav.
Also speaking, Hon. Benjamin Ashaver Ph.D commended Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo stating that since inception, he has never experienced what Wombo has done in two years and urged him to remain focused in serving his people, irrespective of the challenges.
Again, the Majority Chief Whip of the 10th Assembly and Member representing Katsina-Ala West State Constituency, Hon. Peter Bemdoo Ipusu applauded his Boss and assured him of his support. Hon. Ipusu narrated that he is following the footsteps of Hon. Solomon Wombo and will continue to give his support always.
Relatively, the Executive Chairman, Katsina-Ala, LGA, Hon. Justin Shaku, the Executive Chairman Logo LGA, Hon. Clement Kav, Hon. Tyover Mkuma, Hon. Ahar Ishom all expressed satisfaction with the effective representation of Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo and pray to God to grant him more strength to do more.
