Benue Intelligence Forum has called on the Federal Government and all the security agencies in the country to hold the three senators from Benue State, Titus Zam, Emmanuel Udende and Abba Moro responsible for any further killings in the state.
Benue Intelligence Forum also urged the security agencies to put two top members of Senator George Akume political family namely Michael Msuaan and Chris Tarkaa on a security searchlight as they have concluded plans to hold a bloody protest in Abuja next week.
“It’s their plans to use thugs from three Northern states to kill innocent people in Benue state at the same time their sponsored protest goes on in Abuja, and this isn’t healthy. We want the security agencies to hold them liable for any life that is lost both in Benue and Abuja as a result of the protest” the Commandant of Benue Intelligence Forum, Comrade Julius Hilary Agber stated this in a press statement he sent to journalists this morning.
The statement reads in parts: “Udende has planned to move a Motion for a State of Emergency on the floor of the Senate in few days time and that is why he had paid some pressure groups to hold press conferences this week where they will be calling on him to move the said Motion. It’s also their plans to use the protest which Msuaan and Tarkaa have organized to further prove to the federal government that it’s only an Emergency Rule that can stop killings in the state.
“We also want the federal government and the Nigeria’s security agencies to know that Udende and his cohorts are the ones paying miscreants to attack Fulani herdsmen and their cows in Benue state so they too can go into reprisal attacks which of course they have been doing at the expense of the good people of Benue state.
“Senator Udende should tell the world why he is so desperate to have an Emergency Rule declared in Benue state when he is among the people that are truly causing insecurity in the state”
