Describing it as a new era of development for North Central and Enone Federal Constituency, the Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Philip Agbese, today applauded President Bola Tinubu for signing the bill establishing the North-Central Development Commission, hailing it as a watershed moment in the region’s quest for transformative development and prosperity.
In a press statement by his Media Office, Hon. Agbese expressed his profound gratitude to President Tinubu for his visionary leadership and commitment to the welfare of the North Central and Enone.
The federal lawmaker noted that the President’s dedication to bridging the development gap and fostering economic growth in the region has earned him a special place in the hearts of the people, who proudly regard him as a friend and father.
According to Agbese, the North-Central Development Commission will play a pivotal role in catalyzing economic growth, infrastructure development, and social welfare programs across the region. “By addressing the development disparities between the North Central and other parts of the country, the commission will ensure that our people have access to equal opportunities and resources, thereby fostering a more inclusive and equitable society” he added.
Agbese who commended the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, for his tireless efforts in ensuring the passage of the bill equally praised the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume whom he described as a proud Ambassador of Benue State, for his instrumental role in advocating for the interests of the region.
Agbese said further that: “The establishment of the North-Central Development Commission aligns with Agbese’s vision for a new era of development in the North Central and Enone Federal Constituency. “As a lawmaker, I have always been driven by a passion to improve the lives of my constituents and unlock the vast potential of our region”
As the region celebrates this milestone, Agbese assured President Tinubu of his unflinching support, loyalty and cooperation. “We are committed to working with your administration to ensure the successful takeoff and operation of the North-Central Development Commission and to harness its full potential for the benefit of our people,” he said.
