Ahead of the 2027 general elections , a former Minister for Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN has restated his confidence in the strategic partnership between the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume and the leader of the People’s Democratic Party in Benue state, Chief Samuel Ortom, PhD.
Aondoakaa spoke today when he paid another visit to the immediate past Benue State governor at his Makurdi residence.
The former chief law officer of the Federation arrived at the residence of the former governor while a meeting of former appointees of the last administration who had gathered to show solidarity and reaffirm their loyalty to their state leader was ongoing.
While greeting the crowd, Aondoakaa acknowledged that his ease in engaging with Chief Ortom was anchored on the strategic partnership between him (Ortom) and Senator Dr. George Akume, noting that the relationship between both leaders was built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to the progress of Benue State.
He further extolled the leadership qualities of Chief Ortom, describing him as a leader who prioritized inclusiveness, unity, and peace throughout his tenure as governor.
Aondoakaa urged the former appointees and political stakeholders present to remain steadfast and committed to ensuring that Benue State returns to an era where governance is people-centered, inclusive, and driven by peace and development, stressing that such ideals must guide the state’s political direction ahead of 2027.
